Why I Do What I Do

Growing up a few miles from the ocean in Hampton, NH, I knew there was something special about this little piece of the world that we call the “Seacoast,” but it wasn’t until I moved down South to attend college at Elon University that I gained a full perspective of how unique New England, and the NH/ME/MA Seacoast in particular, truly is.

When I moved back home in 2016 with my wife Sarah, starting a career in real estate seemed like the natural next step for me. After all, I knew the area well from growing up here and my passion for residential property was something I had been trying to tap into in the form of a professional career. What I didn’t realize at the time though is how being a Realtor would allow me to do something on a day-to-day basis that gives me a complete sense of purpose and satisfaction - there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy in a client’s face when they find a home and start sharing with you how it checks the boxes on everything they had hoped and dreamed for.

Real estate is defined by many as a “sales” profession and while I agree with that to a degree, I view my job as a Realtor and apply my skills as a marketer in a slightly different way then most. After spending nearly a decade in marketing and PR to elevate the status of major consumer brands like CVS Pharmacy, Allstate Insurance and Capital One (I guess it’s no coincidence that I now work with RE/MAX, the #1 real estate brand in the world) , I now take a similar strategic marketing approach to selling a client’s home. Every home has a unique story and bringing that story to life through a integrated marketing campaign that highlights the property’s best attributes is what I feel puts my clients in the best position to receive the maximum offer for their home sale.

The real estate industry isn’t in the process of changing, it already has. Digital marketing, social media and creative materials that break through the clutter and noise is what allows a property to stand out from the pack. The ability to achieve all of this for my clients is what I pride myself in.
